Southeast Weenie Roast!

The Southeast Action Forum wants to remind you about the National Night Out Weenie Roast, taking place tomorrow - the 7th, starting at 6 p.m.

This will be your chance to just come and relax, have a dog and a sno-cone and talk the night away with the members of the Forum as we show our support for National Night Out.


National Night Out is a community-police partnership held the first Tuesday of every August since 1984 sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in the United States and Canada. It aims to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, town watch, and other anti-crime efforts. Initially communities held lights-on vigils. Now, many communities hold block parties, festivals, and other events to help bring neighbors together.

As this is our first National Night Out as the new Southeast Action Forum, we encourage you to bring friends and family down to have a sno-cone, kids can play some toss-games for prizes, and maybe even meet members of the City Council.

We have police and fire personnel who will be joining us in this, so bring as many folks as you like down. Same location as we usually have our meetings.
