National Night Out: Southeast style

So once again we found ourselves with another excuse to get together. National Night Out. Plus - we were able to thank the local cops and firefighters for helping us out, so it was a good thing, all in all. Of course - these photos were taken when the crowd had died down, after the PD and FD had been fed (for the most part). At the height of the event, we had over 65 people at the Substation. This is the aftermath.

Here we see a few of our members attempting to recover from a feeding frenzy.

Mrs. Prater, the grand dame of the SEAF, protects the little food we had left.

We started out with 9 bags of Hot Dog buns, and 5 packs of Hebrew National Hot Dogs (probably the best dog ever made). At this stage we had 2 left, and one vanished mysteriously after that.

Thankfully, no one was injured during the feeding frenzy, as we are all able to take a nice break and begin recovery.

With the sun low in the sky, the last band of hungry travelers arrives. (note: keep in mind they were armed, so we were feeding them no matter what.)

And after all was said and done, many conversations held and problems discussed - Southeast has once again appeared on many a persons Radar - not the least of which was Chief Gaskins, Mrs. Burcham, Mr. Dowe, and Mr. Townsend - who we would like to thank for showing up.

I guess when you have the right Hot Dog, the world beats a path to your door.

Thanks everybody. For the first year in a long time that Southeast has held such an event, we certainly showed them how we play ball.
