National Night Out wrap-up.

Despite the heat and humidity, the Southeast Action Forum's celebration of National Night Out was a heck of a party.

You can ask the 25 or so citizens that showed up, or the 40+ PD, FD, City Employees.

Why so many? WE had the good Hot Dogs, and Southeast KNOWS how to throw a party.

Nearly everything was home-made, aside from the Dogs and buns, and the folks here got a chance to show off sime long hidden skills.

Thanks to all members of the City, including Mrs. Burcham and Mr. Dowe for showing up and seeing that Southeast is not just a name on the City Neighborhood lists - but we are active, vital, and growing day by day.

Speaking of which, we welcomed 2 new members last night - Andy and Angela S. - our Tazewell Ave. crew, and we hope to be adding a Kirk Ave. crew later this month.

Slowly but surely, we will be everywhere.

Keep watching this space for further information on last night's Weenie Roast, along with photos which will come later tonight.

Thank you to everyone who came down and made this an event to remember, and a special thank you to Officer "Mr." Rogers for hauling out every single city contact he has to this event.

His work is much appreciated, even if his choice in music is not.
