It's been a while folks, since last we talked. Sorry about that.
The Forum has been hopping, and we would like to invite you all to next Weds. meeting - the 2nd of July at 7 pm.
We will be doing a BBQ for the 4th a few days early. Hamburgers, salads - the usual stuff. Last year the food went quick, so be there on time and ready to go.
Also on the agenda, creation of a Archaeology group, to study and collect the relics of times past in Southeast. Each time a building is remodeled, ground is broken for construction- the past rears up. Be it something as small as a porcelain dolls leg, or an unremembered foundation of a building - we will be there to document it, and use it to tell the larger story of Southeast.
Oh, and a vote for the new Vice-Chairman of the SEAF. Yep, I am stepping down to devote more time to family, and take on the role of Director of Communications - as we embark upon our drive for membership, a larger public role, and raise awareness of SE as a great place - we need someone to steer the public image of the Forum - act as liaison between the forum and the media, and cultivate the presence needed to bring Southeast back to the forefront. Without the role of Vice-Chairman (which formerly incorporated all that, and more) I will be able to focus directly on doing just that. And, of course, keep the blog going.
So it's shaping up to be a heck of a July meeting - and with any luck, you'll be there with us.
