The Southeast Action Forum has recently come into a group of shortleaf pine plants. If any one has an idea on where to plant these, let us know. They are typically long lived, tall growing but thin when mature. They are an excellent source of shade and wind-breakers. And the forum will provide them for free to anyone who is wants, or we will plant them in a location that could use them.
Second Announcement:
The Southeast Action Forum will be holding an Ice Cream Social at the substation on Saturday, May 12th from 1:30p-3:30p. This event will be free, and a great way to meet the neighbors - have some ice cream, and explore the history and legacies of Southeast Roanoke.
More information will be forthcoming on the Ice Cream Social, but save the date - and the time.
